Investigation showed that the disease was not cholera bat a violent dysentery, which is almost as severe and dangerous as cholera. Mr. Walter Willard, a prominent merchant of Jamesburg, two miles from Helmetta, says Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy has given great satis faction in the most severe cases of dys entery. By Order of the Common Couneil of Dalles City, made and entered on the 12th day of Octo ber, 1892, notice is hereby given that said city council is about to proceed to order and make improvements in streets in said city, as herein after stated, and the cost of such improvement will be levied upon the property adjacent there to, and said improvement will be made, unless within fonrteen days from the final publication oi this notice, the owners of two-thirds of th ; property adjacent thereto, shall file their re monstrance against such improvements us by charter provided. The improvement contemplated and about to be made is as follows, to-wit: To improve Washington, Fulton and Laushlin streets in said city, by constructing a sewer of terra-cotta, from the Columbia river at the foot of said Washington street, and running vhence south on said Washington street, to the junction of said street with Fulton street, and running thence easterly a ong said Fulton street, to the junction of said Button street with Laughlin street, and running thence southerly along snid Laughlin street, to the alley next south of Alvord street, said sewer to be of twelve inch terra-cotta pipe from the point of beginning, above men tioned to the alley between Fourth and Fifth streets, and of ten inch terra-cotta pipe from said place, to the termination thereof, as above stated ated this22d day of October, 1S92. After a young woman in Morgan county, Ala., had been pronounced dead last week by four physicians, and was dressed in her burial garments, she sud denly, during the night before the fu neral, opened her eyes and sat up in bed, to the intense fright of the watchers and the joy of her parents.
